Barot to Bir Billing Trek via Chahna pass.

Billing

Day: 29 April 2015
From last 4 days I was extremely tired due to all farming process ..as it was the 5th day and the good thing was it was almost done.on the evening time me and my brother Kushal (also named as Lavu) went for  walk. After a hectic day and labour on field it was the best option to refresh our souls and have some fun. During walk we both were talking about some of our good memories. Suddenly He told me about his trip to Billing with his friends.after listening to his adventures,  An idea blinked on my mind that why don't  we make a trip to Billing?
MY VILLAGE BARI JHARWAR
As next day was a rest day  for all the villagers. On that day villagers do get- together and give tribute to mother earth..even after that  next three days were also the days of celebration due to my cousin's  marriage .
ME.. JOGINDER THAKUR

Ok now lets go back to topic ..so when we made the plan , only two of us were there so we thought to ask someone else to join us for this adventure track. So we asked one of our friend, Sanjay Chauhan (also named Sonu) and started some planning for tomorrow. we decided  to go for two days camping  at billing.

KUSHAL THAKUR

We make a list of vegetables, spices, Maggie, and the containers that should carry with us and lots more stuff which will be required for this adventure . We prepared everything at  night  and just wished  for a pleasant weather tomorrow and with this hope we fall asleep .
Next day: 30 April 2015

At morning when I woke up the weather was in a horrific mode. It seemed like God was testing our determination. I was worried about Kushal and Sanjay's reactions , because if they'll deny to go the whole planning would be failed. I went to their house  and asked them what should be done ? And I was happy that they didn't  disappointed me.

BAD WEATHER DURING MORNING
After that we get ready and also took a knife with us for  safety purpose actually it was a giant knife ..not the one which is used for cutting potato tomato. Finally we moved out for Billing. For me and Sanjay this was the first  time but Kushal had gone many time before it so he was our guide. Soon we crossed the Choti jharwar and Khalehli village and had  reached at Meot village. Badi jharwar, chottii jharwar, khalehli and Meot are the four villages which are falls next to each other. Meot is about 4 km distance from baddi jharwar. There is an elementary school. Where we took our first halt and drunk some water.

RAINBOW VIEW FROM KHARIYALI VILLAGE
When we were there I was observing the things near by us and I noticed that the art on the wall of school was just outstanding. Kushal told me that this art is formed by the artist Inder Thakur who belongs to our village. I was happy to know that the artist was from our village. Now  We had crossed our first stage. After some relaxation  we continued our track.

BEAUTIFUL VIEW
The same track goes to Raajgunda village. Chahna is between the top of Meot and Runang village. After a long wait we reached at the end of Meot village. And now finaly we found a beautiful  place where we can sit and ate some food.  Ahhh! Finnaly we are going to eat something .since morning our stomach was empty as we had eaten nothing . After filling our stomach with yummy food we continued our journey.
VIEW FROM RAJGUNDHA
Now we had to climb a steep hill and reach to the top. As we took few steps to the hill a little  rain shower had been started. I was afraid as I was not well from few days. I wanted to enjoy every moment of this trip but at the same time didn’t want to suffer more.  But we continued.  On the way we saw variety of wild flowers , even  We saw pink rhododendrons

PINK  RHONDODENDRON

which is our state flower. After an exhausting hike we finally reached at the top which is known as chahna.

ART OF NATURE
There is a temple of Goddess “Satyavandni” which means the goddess of truth. We relaxed a bit there, took blessings of Mata and continued our journey to Billing. It was the third phase of our journey. Billing is about 7 to 8 km from the chaina. Now the path was  nice. Actually it was a proper road
